Of course, this was filmed before we understood that the death signal was not a presence of oleic acid alone but an absence of other “life” chemicals as well.
Whoever demonstrated the death signal experiment there clearly has a sense of humor. Making Formica slaves drag one of their Polyergus parasites out to the dump was hilarious.
