Ant Plants for the win!
Of course, if we were talking about humans instead of elephants, some of them would decide that the ant-guarded plants were excitingly spicy and tingly on the tongue, and would make up elaborate eating events where people would compete to eat plants with more ants, or with more aggressively stinging and biting ants, and would complain about antless plants as being insipid and lacking in “fire”.
You know, the way they do at chili cookoffs.
The Shangaans in South Africa have known this for some time…They have an expression that says ‘Risokoti ri diele dlopfu’.
The ants can kill the elephant.
Mice and ants FTW!
