Technomyrmex

Technomyrmex is a genus of small, generalist dolichoderine ants found primarily in the tropics and subtropics of the old world, although a single native species is known from central America.  Some species, including the white-footed ants T. albipes and T. difficilis, have spread to warmer climates around the world with human commerce.  Fossil Technomyrmex are common in Dominican amber.
