Polyxenus sp. millipede in Temnothorax nest
This Temnothorax ant shouldn't approach thisPolyxenid millipede too closely. The millipede protects itself with porcupine-like barbed quills projecting from its tail end, several of which have already attached themselves to the head of the ant.
