Tetramorium species (nr. caespitum) - Pavement Ant

Recent taxonomic research has revealed that the common "pavement ant" of North America, previously referred to as Tetramorium caespitum, has never been described formally and lacks a scientific name.  True T. caespitum is a strictly European species.
